A planned gift is one of the best ways to support Golden Gate Bird Alliance’s education and conservation work for birds, other wildlife and our shared natural environment in the Bay Area.
Planned gifts can be an integral part of your estate planning, are often associated with tax benefits, and allow you to envision and secure a lasting legacy for what you value and cherish the most!

Ways to Give For the Future
A bequest is a charitable gift left to Golden Gate Bird Alliance through your will. This is a risk-free way to make a long-lasting, positive impact on birds, wildlife and habitat in the Bay Area. These gifts come to GGBA after your lifetime.
You can leave a fixed amount of money or percentage of your estate, a specific percentage of your assets, or dedicate the residual of your estate after providing for your loved ones.
- Consult with your financial advisor and attorney.
- Decide whether you want your gift to be unrestricted or set aside for a specific purpose.
- Let us know about your gift!
Naming Golden Gate Gate Bird Alliance as the beneficiary of your retirement plans, life insurance, donor advised funds, or other financial accounts, can lead to great tax benefits and future benefits for birds!
These gifts allow you to name Golden Gate Bird Alliance as a primary or secondary beneficiary of all or a percentage of your designated account(s).
- Request a beneficiary form from the appropriate plan manager
- Write in Golden Gate Bird Alliance as a beneficiary or partial beneficiary using our legal language (Tax ID Number for SSN and Date of Incorporation for DOB)
- Send filled form to your plan manager and a copy to GGBA.
Life income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts, provide an income stream and tax benefits for you while also benefiting Golden Gate Bird Alliance.
